French butterfly

“Just when the caterpillar thought her life was over, she began to fly”

I captured this this butterfly at the side of the road in  France. The supermarket was 15 kilometers away from the campsite where I worked, so when walking there I had plenty  of pretty things to see. This little fellow followed me for a while – or I followed him, I don’t really know. It was even nice enough to sit still for a couple of seconds. Just enough time to chance my camera settings.

Butterflies are among my favorites animals, but they are kind of hard to catch in a picture. So I’m very delighted with this one!
